Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who possesses in-depth knowledge and expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and enable efficient and reliable software delivery.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement robust and scalable infrastructure solutions on AWS using best practices and industry standards.
2. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring proper version control and documentation.
3. Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications, optimizing performance and scalability.
4. Collaborate with software development teams to establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test, and deployment processes.
5. Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
6. Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
7. Participate in capacity planning and optimization efforts to meet current and future infrastructure needs.
8. Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with best practices and industry regulations.
9. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
10. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
11. Manage and maintain Linux-based infrastructure, including servers and networking equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Minimum 7 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
3. Extensive experience designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.
4. Strong expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
5. Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes.
6. Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
7. Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with build and deployment tools.
8. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
9. Strong knowledge of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices in a cloud environment.
10. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a strong attention to detail.
11. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
12. AWS and Kubernetes certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
