Job Description

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Services Officer to join our branch in Aqaba. This role involves offering and delivering high-quality banking services that meet and exceed customer expectations. The position will require marketing and promoting the bank's products and services through direct and cross-selling, contributing to the achievement of branch targets, and enhancing the customer base and revenue streams. Additionally, the role will focus on nurturing customer relationships, ensuring that customer files are regularly updated, and actively attracting new clients by effectively promoting the bank's offerings.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Identify customers' needs and provide suitable banking products or services that meet their requirements.
  2. Proactively promote and sell the bank's products and services, striving to increase cross-selling opportunities to both current and potential customers in order to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  3. Handle customer inquiries and requests professionally, ensuring that all account-related, product, and service queries are addressed to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  4. Monitor customer accounts regularly, flagging any unusual activities, and report these to the relevant departments in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  5. Maintain and update customer files to ensure accurate and up-to-date records are kept.
  6. Contribute to achieving branch goals by actively seeking opportunities for new customer acquisition.

 

Skills

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a customer service or banking role, ideally as a Customer Services Officer.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers.
  • Demonstrated sales and promotional skills, with a track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services, as well as familiarity with banking regulations and procedures.

Note: This position is based in Aqaba, and candidates must reside in the local area.
