Job Purpose:
The Cards Direct Sales Officer is responsible for driving credit card sales by acquiring new customers and deepening relationships with existing ones. The role focuses on promoting the bank’s range of credit card products through direct field sales, contributing to the growth of the bank’s cards portfolio and market share, in alignment with the bank’s overall sales and marketing strategy.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Actively engage in field visits to identify and acquire new credit card customers within target segments.
- Promote and sell the bank’s credit card products through direct interaction, ensuring achievement of assigned sales targets.
- Conduct needs-based customer assessments to recommend suitable credit card solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering quality service and timely support during and after the sales process.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, applications, and daily sales activities, and report them regularly to the line manager.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints related to credit card products in a professional and timely manner.
- Cross-sell other bank products as appropriate to maximize customer value and drive profitability.
- Stay up-to-date on credit card features, eligibility criteria, and promotions to ensure accurate and persuasive communication to customers.
Skills
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct sales experience, preferably in credit cards or retail banking products.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Customer-focused with a positive, solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant banking systems.
